Ministries

At Faith Church we believe God has gifted each believer to serve with specific talents, for the benefit of the Body of Christ. If you're not sure what gifts God has given you, speak to Fr. John for help discerning your unique gifts and abilities. Then review the list of available ministries to see what fits best for you. Perhaps a new ministry will start because of your gifts!

Children's and Youth Ministry

Faith has an active youth ministry for children, pre-teens and teens. The primary and pre-K programs address the needs of elementary school and pre-school children, and includes Scripture lessons, crafts, activities and annual pageants. In the summer months, the Children's Ministry offers a Vacation Bible School for one week. Contact Fr. John.

Teens enjoy gathering weekly for life-changing fellowship, study, discussion, service projects, and outings. Lots of fun with godly friends! Contact James Nowell with questions about youth activities.

Worship

Praise the Lord through music! Faith Church enjoys the talents of a dedicated group of musicians, and there's always room for more. If God has given you a passion for music, please consider singing or playing in our choir or praise band. We are actively recruiting brass or stringed instruments, and male vocalists! Worship Team members rotate regularly throughout the month, so there's plenty of room for you, regardless of your musical gift! Contact Debbie Monroe.

Crisis Ministry

Help a family in their time of stress by volunteering to provide an evening meal through the Crisis Meals Ministry. If you or a family you know is experiencing too much stress from illness, a new baby, financial strain or just an overly-busy schedule and would benefit from evening meal assistance, contact the church office or Doris Reid or Teresa Brandt.

The Lord's Table Preparation

Participate in worship by working with the Lord's Table Preparation Team. Members prepare the Lord's Table for Eucharist every week--linens, sacred table ware, bread and wine. Other functions include changing decor in the sanctuary to reflect changes in the liturgical calendar. Contact Connie Ambrose or Amanda Merriman.

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team prays with and for others on Sundays after the Sunday service, and all through the week. The most important requirements for members of this ministry are an understanding heart, the ability to listen, strict discretion, and a desire to pray for someone else. To leave a prayer request for the prayer chain, call the Church office before or after hours, (972) 396-1177, and leave your prayer request on the voice mail box. All prayer requests are held in strict confidence. If you can help in this critical area, contact Kyra Clifton.

Nursery

Nursery care is available for all children, infants through two years old. The nursery always has qualified staff members to keep our children happy and safe. The nursery is located in the Education Building, on the left-hand side as you enter. For those parents who would prefer to keep their children with them during the service, your children are always welcome to be with us in worship.

Hospitality Table

Meet and greet others at the hospitality table in the Activity Building. Refreshments are served between the services, and donations are accepted to offset the cost. Volunteers are needed to bring snacks and prepare coffee to make Faith a welcoming place. Contact Randy or Susan Cimprich.

Sound and Graphics Ministries

Help create a worshipful environment by working with the Sound team (microphones, speakers, midi, etc) or the Graphics Team (Projectors display the liturgy and song lyrics using Powerpoint presentation software). Contact Ted Telisak, head of the Sound Ministry or Lloyd Williams head of the Graphics Ministry.
